The PTC communications family includes a series of five products; the wayside radio, locomotive radio, yard radio, basestation and mobility controller. Our software defined radio technology is flexible and is designed to be interoperable with other new and existing systems. It facilitates fast roaming for seamless wireless connections and provides the highest level of security with AES encryption and powerful policy based filters and Access Control List. Our solution connects all critical control stations for complete rail communications safety.
Lilee Mobility Controller (LMC)
Provides radio device management with roaming control enabling a robust communications conduit between the track-side network and the Back Office Servers. The Mobility Controller also provides a comprehensive web based management interface to allow all radio devices to be managed centrally from this graphical console.
Base Station Radio
PTC-220Mhz radio allows communication with the Mobility Controller and the locomotive and wayside radios. Typically located approximately every 20 miles along the track alignment.
Locomotive Radio
Provides communication between the onboard computer, wayside locations, and the Back Office Servers. It contains a WiFi interface, 220MHz PTC radio, and a 3G connection for backup connections.
Wayside Radio
Provides communication between the dark territory, intermediate, and control point locations and base stations and locomotives.
Yard Radio
High power WiFi 802.11a/b/g radio for short range and low mobility speed applications.
