TransAir-LMC Series Mobility Controller
The LMC series provides a centralized system management server that handles the registration from all four types of system radios; yard radio (LWO-1000 series), base station radio, locomotive radio, and wayside radio. Once each radio is registered with LMC, the LMC provides the configuration to all the radios and connectivity to all radios are continuously monitored. Furthermore, the LMC-5000 series manages roaming of the locomotive radios from one base station to another or from one radio technology or medium (such as cellular) to another.
In addition, the yard and base station radios establishes tunnels with the LMC to allow locomotive radios to move across different segments of the network without having to be aware of the underlying network topology changes.
The Mobility Controller also provides a comprehensive web based management interface (as shown in the diagram below) to allow all radio devices to be managed centrally from this graphical console.
