TransAir-PTC Series Locomotive Radio
The Lilee TransAir PTC Locomotive Radio provides SDR 220 MHz network connectivity supporting mission-critical data transfer of the on-board computer, data logger and other monitoring and control equipment to the Base Station and ultimately to the railroads Central Traffic Control Center through the Mobility Controller. The Locomotive Radio maintains connectivity with all three radio signal mediums (PTC-220, 3G and Wifi) to determine availability. The Locomotive Radio constantly monitors the signal link quality and throughput of each interface and reports them to the mobility controller.
The radio requires a static IP address to be provisioned on the Locomotive network facing Ethernet interface. This IP address will be used as the default gateway for a seamless communications channel for all equipment within the Locomotive network.
